Snow is melting! – HE

Back in February this seasons snow was 200% above normal in the Sierras of Southern California. This would potentially mean jumping part of the PCT trail as there would be too  much snow! Good news is that it looks like the snow is melting.

Now the snow is around 160% above normal so things are looking better. You can look at up to date forecasts yourself by going to http://cdec.water.ca.gov/cdecapp/snowapp/swcchart.action

We plan to arrive in Kennedy Meadows on or around June  1st so lets hope the thaw continues.
